A Brief History
On Easter Sunday, April 17, 1960, those who desired to become members of the new church, HPUMC, went to the altar and received the blessings and good wishes of the sponsoring church. The church began with thirty-five members. The first worship service was held at the Wesley Foundation Building across the street from the Oklahoma State University campus on May 8, 1960. Services were later held in what is now our Fellowship Hall. The church later added what is now the Sanctuary. With such a rich history, HPUMC also has plenty of areas for children, youth and adult education as well as a nursery and administrative areas.

Fellowship Hall
The Fellowship Hall was rededicated in December 2007 after a fire in April 2007 destroyed the original Fellowship Hall. With a new and spacious Fellowship Hall, the members of HPUMC use it for all types of events and activities.

Though currently paused due to COVID-19, we look forward to ourfellowship meals on the second Sunday of the month at 11:45 a.m. HPUMC members gather in the Fellowship Hall to enjoy food and fellowship. Everyone brings a favorite dish or dessert to share. Items which need to stay warm may be placed in the kitchen before the worship service.

If you would like to reserve the facility, please e-mail or call the church office with your request.
